Manchester and Liverpool are two of the most exciting cities in England. Liverpool will be European City of Culture in 2008.
They buzz with life, have great sights and museums and become trendier every day.
They also form an excellent base for exploring the North West of England. The Lake District is one of the most popular places to go to, England's only really mountainous location.
