Florianopolis is the capital of Santa Catarina State. Part of the city is located on an island, part on the mainland. The island half of the city is the best place for travelers. Great surfing, beautiful colonial buildings, old forts, baroque churches.

The beaches near Florianopolis are gorgeous and the nightlife is great. Imagine Bavaria by a tropical bay and youll have some idea.

Nearby at Camboriu are resorts and casinos. Florianopolis is 770 km southwest of Rio de Janeiro.
