Alaska The Last Frontier Alaska is so very beautiful, with so many things to do and places to go. From the highest peaks of Mt.McKinley to the miles of coastline that seem to go on forever. The large, busy cities to the small, remote villages. Everywhere you turn there are thickly wooded areas teaming with wildlife of all type. The Aurora Borealis dancing across the sky. And the free, majestic eagles that soar overhead.
Wasilla is the Home of the Worlds Longest, Toughest Snowmobile Race event, the Tesoro Iron Dog. The Iditarod Dog Sled Race runs from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska every year. Fur Rendezvous (called Fur Rondy by the locals) is held every spring. (You can find out a little more about both the Iditarod and Fur Rondy by clicking on the links on the left of your screen.) There are just too many things about Alaska to list here on the main page. *smile* On the left of your screen, you will see a list of the other pages pertaining to Alaska. Feel free to sit back, look around and see what all Alaska has to offer to you. I am sure there is something of interest to everyone, whether it is during the winter or the summer; whether you drive the Al-Can, fly with an airline or use the Marine highway to get there. If anyone finds any information that I add to these Alaska pages to be wrong, please let me know as soon as possible so that I may add the correct info. Thanks.
