South Africa's climate is mild throughout the year. Temperatures vary from cold mild winters between 0-15C (32-59F) to warm, hot summers between 20-40C (68-104F). Summer is from October to March and winter from April to September which is a welcome winter get-away for visitors from the Northern Hemisphere. The East coast enjoys the warm Indian Ocean waters and Durban is the holiday mecca of South Africa. Friendly folk are the South Africans always ready to be of help and English being one of the 11 official languages makes it easy for travellers to understand.Financial bliss for the Pound (R11.93) Euro (R7.60)and Dollar (R6.70). Cape Town has been voted one of the top destinations for International visitors. Diverse fauna and flora throughout and some of special note eg: Big 5, Table Mountain, Quality water, excellent accommodation facillities and restaurants, outstanding golf courses etc.
