Ica is in the middle of Peru's wineland and it is here that the famous Pisco is made, made infamous by Pisco Sour. Some wineries can be visited and make a nice excursion.

The Museo Regional has some nice mummies, ceramics and skulls from the Paracas, Nazca and Inca cultures, though as usual, the really good stuff has been shipped of to Lima

There are some nice sand dunes near by.
