Curitiba is located in the Parana State of Brazil and it is about 500km away from Sao Paulo. It is a well planned and modern city with a number of attractions. There is a railway line, first in Brazil going from Curitiba to Paranaqua thorugh the mountains. The journey itself is breath taking.

The South of Brazil has a more European culture and the people is wonderful. Although not a costal town, Curitiba is very close to beautiful beach areas, like San Francisco towards east, and Porto Bello and Florianopolis to the South. You can see images from this last area at www.ifloripa.com
