Located in the charming countryside between Santa Ana and Ciudad Colon, Casa Bella Rita is a private and luxurious Bed & Breakfast. Situated on the rim of a canyon with incredible views, Casa Bella Rita offers superb accommodations and service. Casa Bella Rita is conveniently located near The University for Peace. Prices range from $119.00 - $159.00 per night dependent upon the season and room selected. Rates include airport pick-up and drop-off, fabulous hot breakfasts and wireless internet. Casa Bella Rita has four king and two queen rooms that are all beautifully furnished with custom tile bathrooms, custom built furniture and local artwork. Each room has air conditioning, cable TV, honor bar stocked with soft drinks, beer, wine and snacks, alarm clocks, hair dryers, bathrobes and fresh cut tropical flowers. A pool and Jacuzzi highlight the deck overlooking the canyon with its rushing river, tropical flowers and plants, exotic birds and butterflies. All rooms are well appointed with cable TV, air conditioning, bathrobes, honor bar, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, in-room safe, shampoo/conditioner , fine linens and towels. Each room has custom made furniture, local artwork and custom tiled bathrooms.

Casa Bella Rita has six rooms and each is for double occupancy. Canopy room is our largest King room with a in-room waterfall garden, plasma TV and I Pod docking station. Tucan and Heliconia are beautiful rooms in the cabina directly behind the main house in our tropical garden. These are also King rooms. Mariposa, a King room located in the main house with a double garden shower. Double sink, custom tile and view of the garden make this room special. Iguana and Colibri are beautifully furnish Queen rooms. The local tilework in Colibri is outstanding.

Steve & Rita welcome you to Casa Bella Rita. Originally from Michigan with more than 60 years combined experience in the restaurant business, they decided to sell it all and try something different in a warmer climate. With a fun sense of humor, warm service, attention to detail and outstanding culinary skills they will make sure your vacation is perfect. Steve and Rita share in the breakfast cooking and are skilled at preparing any requests. Rita teaches at a local gym and is happy to take you along so you don't miss a workout or take you on a run/walk of the area or even do on-site personal training. Yoga mats are available also. Steve & Rita have (2) daughters and (3) grandchildren and recently adopted (2) small sweet street dogs. Other interest include Childrens International, traveling, golf and exploring Costa Rica.

We are located less than 1 hour to the Pacific Coast and 3 hours to the Carribean.

Take the General Canas highway towards downtown. Exit at the second set of signs to Pavas. Stay on this road until you see the sign to Escazu and Santa Ana. Go through the toll booths (75 colones). Stay on this road, it will narrow to two lanes. Continue for just under 2K until you see a restaurant/bar on the right call La Casa de la Pradera. Turn right immediately past this down a dirt road. Take the first right. Casa Bella Rita is located on the left side about 100 meters.
