Originally built in the 1870's by Bear River's wealthiest resident, Captain Hettrick as his family homeThe house has been completely renovated while retaining the wonderful original detailing. With its 10ft ceilings and old fashion elegance, original wood floors, wide moldings, slate fireplaces and grand staircase it has been welcoming guests since Captain Hettrick and daughter Jessica threw the first party 130 years ago. At the Bear River Inn By the Brook we continue the Captains tradition of a warm welcome to local, national and international guests.
This property includes the 4 story Main House, and a 2 1/2 story Carriage House.
