From New York State Thruway The Greene Mountain View Inn lies just four miles east of the town of Hunter on Route 23A in Greene County, New York. Tannersville is located approximately 120 miles north of New York City and 50 miles southwest of Albany.
Travel on Route 87 (New York State Thruway) to Exit 20 (Saugerties) .At tollgate turn left. Make an immediate right onto Route 32 North. Stay on Route 32 North until the road "Y's"-Route 32A is straight ahead, Route 32 bears to the right. Go straight on to Route 32A to the Palenville traffic light. At light, bear to your left onto Route 23A West which will take you up the mountain road known as the Rip Van Winkle Trail-travel exactly 7 miles to the traffic light in the village of Tannersville then turn left, go one long block, bear left all the way until you see our sign: Greene Mountain View Inn.
