Built originally in 1801, this handsome property was for many years home to Sea Captain Winslow F. Knowles. He, and his sons, went on to become one of the pioneering seafaring families of the Colonial era.|Indeed, the legend of this historic property continued to grow as time went on.|Years later, for example, the Reverend Moldstad acquired the manor, and built the first Lutheran Chapel on Cape Cod . (Today the chapel is used to host sunny breakfasts for guests, and social get togethers as well).
