Enjoy full gourmet breakfast with home baked muffins, fresh fruit and a delicious hot entree every day, all served in our beautiful sunroom. Also join us for afternoon refreshments in the sunroom or on the front porch. We are just a short walk to restaurants, shops and the harbor. The Acadia National Park entrance is one mile from the Inn Holbrook House was one of the first cottages to provide lodging for wealthy Easterners who had discovered the beauty of Mount Desert Island in the late 1800's. Spared from the devastating fire of 1947 by a providential change in the wind, the inn remains a symbol of hospitality which has been the hallmark of Bar Harbor for over 100 years.

There is something for everyone in Bar Harbor. A short walk takes you to restaurants, shops, and the ocean, and Acadia National Park is only a mile away for plenty of biking and hiking opportunities. The 55 miles of carriage trailsthat wind through the park offer both the novice and experience cyclist plenty of breathtaking views. The enclosed bike storage at Holbrook House is especially convenient.
