The Retreat ~ This very large room with its wood beamed ceilings and natural gas fireplace, is reminiscent of a mountain lodge. You can get away from everything in this warm room. The Retreat has a queen bed and a super single hide-a-bed. Right outside the door is a microwave and refrigerator. This room offers the perfect family retreat! Butler?s Master Suite ~ Originally the bedroom for the builders? parents, the Butler?s Master Suite is now a bedroom for ultimate pampering. The room is outfitted with a one-of- a-kind, hand-crafted queen-size bed, comfortable quilted leather chairs, a jetted bath for two, and large, walk-in shower. Eighteen windows that look out on our towering oak trees surround the room. Some guests have commented they feel like they are in a really nice tree house!|Greenwood Room ~ The rich mahogany furniture creates an Old World ambiance in the Greenwood Room, which overlooks Greenwood Park. Open the curtains and enjoy the warm, sunny, southern exposure. You won?t be late for breakfast in this room as it features a very unique large clock. The finishing touch is the unique glazing technique that was used to give the walls an old stone appearance. (Queen size bed.)|The Cook?s Quarters ~ "Whimsical" best describes this room. California artist Marna Hill inspired the paint motifs and playful colors used throughout in this cozy bedroom and matching shower. This room is featured in the January 2000 issue of Paint Décor Magazine. It is also in a three-part series on Better Homes and Gardens TV in January. This room features a double bed with an antique gate for the headboard.

directions to property:
From Airport: Turn left (north) onto Fleur. You will travel on Fleur for many blocks. As you go over a bridge watch for a sign that says "Grand Avenue". Follow the sign and stay on Grand. Again, you will go many blocks. Watch for 42nd Street. When you cross 42nd Street get in the right hand lane. You will go up a little hill and then down a long hill. At the bottom of the hill you will see 44th Street on your right (slow down). Go past 44th Street a few yards and take the next driveway on the right. Drive between the five story condos and our house. Park BEHIND the house and come in the back main door. From I-235 West or East: Once you are on I-235 proceed to the 42nd Street exit in Des Moines (if coming from the West you will go through West Des Moines, a suburb, they have their own numbering so you will drive under a bridge marked 42nd Street but that is 42nd in West Des Moines). Go South on 42nd Street. Go to Grand Avenue and turn right onto Grand. Stay in the right lane. You will go up a little hill and then down a long hill. At the bottom of the hill you will see 44th Street on your right (slow down). Drive past 44th Street a few yards (stay on Grand) and take the next driveway on the right. Drive between the five story condos and our house. Park BEHIND the house and come in the back main door.
