As its name implies, the lodge sits near the edge of Martinez Canyon 7400 ft above sea level with the magnificent views of Pagosa Peak and the Great Divide to the north.Canyon Crest was built entirely by its English owners who are proud of their achievement and will be happy to share the secrets of the "Traditional English Rock Structure" with 18" thick walls.
The local people here in Pagosa refer to the house as the "Englishman?s Castle" therefore the suites are named after famous British castles.

Accommodation comprises of individual suites each with its own private bathroom, which includes tub,shower,wc,vanity unit containing all the usual toiletries and walk in closet with robes and bathroom slippers.
Rooms can be accessed from the private upper deck. all rooms have unsurpassed views of the surrounding mountains.
Suites have a sitting area with sofa or armchairs, TV some with VCR, all have coffee/tea making facilities. All suites with private bathroom and deck, after a full English breakfast

From Durango travel east on Highway 160 toward Pagosa Springs ( 56 miles). Happy Camper RV Park will be on your right and 'Elk Park' on your left, continue for another 2.5 miles passing 'PARELLI HORSE STUDY CENTER' on right, take next turn left into Pagosa Trails and continue on same road, turn left into drive when County road ends (2 miles from hwy 160 to house). From Hwy 84 turn West towards Durango. Follow Hwy 160 through the 45 mile an hour speed limit after the Texaco and Shell Garages on your right the speed limite will change to 60 miles per hour and the right hand turn is 200 yds. Turn right into Pagosa Trails (We are 2 miles from Highway 160) Continue on same road until the end turn left into drive for Canyon Crest Lodge.
