19th century Manor House, completely remodeled 1994Quiet location Close to historic center of Sintra, superb views. Casa Miradouro was built around 1890 for a family of army officers. In 1987 the family moved out and the house stood empty for six years.

Cozy breakfast-room. garden with terrace The house has six large bedrooms decorated in different colors, all with private bathrooms. Double-glazed windows and central heating make the rooms comfortable even in the Portuguese winter.
All rooms are kept in bright colours and dispose of large windows so you can enjoy the magnificent views.
Some rooms have beautiful stucco ceiling. The photos below show four of the rooms.

Located within 500 metres of the national palace, Casa Miradouro provides an excellent base to visit the historic monuments of Sintra as well as it's beautiful parks and the outstanding new museum of contemporary art with the Berardo collection created after World War II. It is considered one of the most important on the Iberian Peninsula.
