The cottage is on an elevated location overlooking Portmagee harbor, and enjoys fine views of the highest mountains in Ireland--Macgillicuddy's Reeks--as well as the surrounding countryside.|A protected beach is a few minutes' walk down the lane from the cottage. Portmagee has two pubs with restaurants, a foodstore and a bakery.|The house has three bedrooms which sleep six, and an extra bedroom with a single bed is available upon request.. The interior features the original wood floors and country-style pine woodwork throughout. The living room has fireplace (peat provided), and the walled-in yard is well-suited for children.
