The Willapa Hills lie between the Olympic Peninsula and the Oregon Coast Range. Our homestead rests on a south slope looking across a small forested valley. A half acre pond is centrally reposed, with many springs and a year round stream. Nestled in the green forests, our 40 acre homestead provides guests with spacious rooms and full country breakfasts.

From I-5 Exit from I-5 at Kelso/Longview, WA, to SR4 ("Ocean Beaches"), 25 west to historic Skamokawa. Turn right on "Skamokawa Valley Rd." and bear right for 6+ miles on country road to "Inn at Lucky Mud" sign. Go up the 1/4 mile driveway. Inn on the right. From U.S. 101 going north From U.S. Hwy. 101 north, turn right after crossing the Astoria/Megler bridge; in Naselle, turn right onto SR 4. Skamokawa is 40 minutes. Turn left onto Skamokawa Valley Road; bear right for 6+ country miles until reaching the sign "The Inn at Lucky Mud." Go up 1/4 mile driveway; the Inn is on your right. From U.S. 101 going south At junction of WA SR 4, turn east toward Longview. At Skamokawa turn left onto the Skamokawa Valley Road; bear right for 6+ country miles to sign "The Inn at Lucky Mud." Turn up 1/4 mile driveway to the Inn on your right.

Skamokawa, WA, is located on the shore of the Columbia River about 30 river miles from the Pacific Ocean. Nearby are two national wildlife refuges covering 40,000 acres, much of it islands. It's a kayaker's paradise (on Lewis & Clark's historic route) and great for wildlife viewing.
