Historic Country Accommodations in the Bed and Breakfast Tradition just outside the historic city of FredericksburgLa Vista Plantation is located in the lush Spotsylvania County country-side just outside the historic city of Fredericksburg, Virginia. This Classical-Greek Revival frame edifice, was constructed in 1838. A beautiful two story front portico with fluted columns and gable end ornaments the structure. The house reflects the classical revival style with high ceilings, wide heart of pine floors, acorn and oak moldings, and two story front portico. The ten acre grounds present a fine balance of mature trees, flowering shrubs, pastures, woods, gardens and a pond stocked with bass and sunfish.

The elegant main floor bedroom features a magnificent king size mahogany rice carved 4 poster bed, working fireplace, Empire style antiques and a large private bath. A twin size trundle bed provides additional sleeping options. Just outside, the front portico overlooks the lovely lawn with its ancient shade trees, and border gardens. The two bedroom Plantation Kitchen Suite is a large 1200 square foot apartment with sunny exposures and ample space. It is perfect for groups of 3 or more, or for a couple who enjoy the luxury of a generous space with complete privacy at the double room price. Both units provide premium bedding, air conditioning, satellite TV, refrigerator, alarm clock, and phone. Guests may use the formal parlour for reading, letter writing, or quiet reflection. Take I-95 south to exit 126. Turn right (south)at the light onto Rte. 1. Drive 3.8 miles to left at Rte. 607 (Guinea Station Rd.). La Vista is 1.6 miles down on the right.
From Richmond, Virginia
Take I-95 north to exit 118 (Thornburg). Turn left onto Rte. 606. Drive one half mile to right onto Rte. 1 at light. Go 3.7 miles to right onto Rte. 607 (Guinea Station Rd.) La Vista is 1.6 miles down on the right.
