Heated swimming pool, tennis court, stocked trout pond, and more!Nestled among the pines along a quiet country road, Trail's End Bed and Breakfast offers traditional New England hospitality in a secluded setting of beautifully kept grounds on ten acres near Mt. Snow. The Inn provides a wide variety of facilities for your comfort and enjoyment, including an outdoor heated swimming pool, a clay tennis court, a a stocked trout pond, lovely flower gardens,and game room with 8 foot Olhausen Pool Table.

      The Inn has fifteen picture-perfect rooms, all with private baths, including four fireplace rooms and two fireplace suites with canopy beds and whirlpool tubs. Each room is done in a different color scheme and is furnished with family heirlooms and antiques. All our rooms have private baths and individually controlled heat

    I-95 to New Haven. I-91 north to second exit in Brattleboro, VT. Rt. 9 West to Wilmington. Right on VT Rt. 100 north. Follow local directions below. (Approximately 4 hours)


    From New York via Albany:
    New York Thruway (I-87) North to Albany Bypass (Rt. 787) East to NY Route 7. NY Route 7 East to VT Route 9 through Bennington, VT to Wilmington. Left on VT Route 100 North. Follow local directions below.(Approximately 90 minutes)

    From The light at the intersection:
    From the light at the intersection of Route 9/Route 100 in Wilmington (you'll see signs "To Ski Areas")- go north on Route 100 approximately 4 miles to a right fork on to East Dover Road, take fork and make first right turn just after bridge on Smith Road - follow Smith Road bearing left and up hill. Trail's End is located on right at the crest of the hill. If you passed the Sitzmark, you missed the turn for Smith Road.

    From Boston:
    Route 2 to I-91 north to second exit in Brattleboro, VT Route 9 West to Wilmington. Right on VT Route 100 North. Follow local directions below.(Approximately 3 hours)


    From Montreal & Quebec:
    Route 15 south to I-87 (Northway) in New York. Take I-87 south to New York Route 7 east (exit 7) to Troy. Follow Route 7 which becomes Route 9 in Vermont to Bennington. From Bennington continue on Route 9 to Wilmington. Left on VT Route 100 north. Follow local directions below.  
  • description of surrounding area: Trail's End is conveniently located in the heart of Southern Vermont-just five minutes from the Mount Snow and Haystack ski areas. Snowmobile trails and tours and four cross-country centers are close by, as well as romantic sleigh rides at a neighboring farm. Enjoy shopping in the quaint village of Wilmington or at the outlets in nearby Manchester, while also experiencing some of the finest dining in the area.

    In any season, there are many activities to delight visitors in the Mount Snow/Haystack Region. Winter months enjoy downhill and XC skiing snowmobiling snowshoeing sleigh rides tubing and more. Summer and fall invites guests to enjoy canoeing horseback riding hiking mountain biking and golf at three local courses. As guests of the Inn, you will be entitled to shopping and dining discounts, as well as special packages for golf and skiing.
