The Orchard Room
The sunrise from the huge bay window will take your breath away. The Orchard Room is located on the east side of the house overlooking the orchard, consisting of apple, pear, nectarine and peach trees. A canopied Queen size 4-poster rice bed, vintage wallpaper, private bath, CD Player and Cable TV make up the Orchard Room, a favorite of the innkeepers. The Mallard Room
Overlooking the west, this room is a treat for those beautiful South Carolina sunsets. Decorated in Hunter Green colors, the authentic antique mallard hunting decoys, which were used by David?s father and grandfather, give this room its name. The Mallard Room hosts a Queen size 4- poster rice bed with a beautiful canopy, private bath, CD Player and Cable TV and family antiques, which include a circa 1860 hand-made cradle from Hoyt?s family.|The Peony Room
The Peony Room is a beautiful room in it?s own right. Its soothing celery green walls make a beautiful backdrop for the Queen size poster bed that adorns a beautiful hand crocheted comforter. A hand crocheted quilt, made by David?s mother, hangs proudly on the wall and displays the Blue Ribbon bestowed on it at the County Fair in Cherokee, Iowa. A private bath, CD Player and Cable TV make this room a perfect getaway for a romantic evening.|The Suite
The walls of this beautifully decorated room boast a deep cranberry color and makes the perfect setting for the canopied Cherry wood rice bed. Adjoining the main bedroom is a smaller bedroom that has an antique double bed that is original to the house. With a private bath, Cable TV and CD Player located inside the Suite, this is the perfect room for a family of 4 or a couple with an elderly parent traveling along.

description of surrounding area:
Even though we are located in dowtown Lyman, as you enter the grounds of this 6-acre, circa 1902 southern cotton plantation, you'll escape the hussle of life by finding yourself under century-old oaks surrounded with lush original landscaping. Since Lyman is a Wildlife Sanctuary, you will see an array of different birds, some which may include many of our resident Canadian Geese waddling across the east lawn. Just sitting on one of the sun porches and watching hummingbirds dart to and fro is a treat within itself.
After a long day of business meetings, leisure travel or sightseeing, sit and relax with your favorite beverage or take tea in the front parlor.
Come join us? You won?t be disappointed.
