The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road is an European Inn of casual elegance. It has a decor favoring the French Impressonists and an accent on fine service in a romantic, intimate atmosphere. The Inn is located about a mile outside the quaint town of Waynesville at an elevation of 3,000 feet. The century old house sits on a knoll surrounded by huge pines and 4 acres of lawn and garden. There is a large lily pond on the grounds with a foot bridge and deck. The two rooms and four suites each have private baths, fireplaces, a wet bar or refrigerator, and mountain views. Several have whirpool tubs for two and a private balcony or terrace. There is a seperate cottage available with two baths and bedrooms. Guests have a choice of a gourmet or spa breakfast served in the dining room, on the front verandah, or bedside. In the evening, all are treated to an hour of wine and hors d'oeures. The Inn boasts a semi-rural setting that offers guests a time for relaxing and an opportunity for renewal. At the same time it is centrally located between The Great Smoky Mountain National Park and Asheville and the grand Biltmore Estate.
