Only two miles N.W. from our vintage 1920 style Electric Streetcars (The TECOline) in our Old Town of Ybor City. You don't need a car at Gram's Place, just walk two blocks to the City Bus Line ( # 1 Florida ave bus ) that will take you to downtown Tampa's new Marion Transit City Bus Terminal one mile away that will get you anywhere in the city or beyond to Tampa's Airport, The Greyhound Bus Station and our restored 1912 Union Train Station or on to a SEE TAMPA adventure to The Convention Center & Harbour Island downtown. You could then go West to Historic Tampa Bay Hotel ( now University of Tampa), Beautiful Bayshore Blvd., Old Hyde Park Village, The SoHo district or Hop on our Elec. Steetcars at the new Southern Transportation Plaza and go East to The Ice Palace (now St. Pete Forum), Channel Side, The Cruise Ship Terminals at Port of Tampa, The Florida Aquarium, and North to our Old Town, Ybor City and to the 1905 Historic Columbia Restaurant The oldest restaurant in Florida. You can ride all day on both the City Bus Line (HARTline) and the Historic Streetcar Line for only $3.00 a day, unlimited pass. We are only two miles East from Raymond James Stadium and Yankee Stadium (Legends Field) for Football and Baseball Fans and events. Congratulations Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2003 Music at Gram's Place; The music and ambience will and can transport you back in time with recordings from the 1920's to present day, at our Courtyard BYOB Bar and Jacuzzi area. Our CD player has 400 plus classic CD's loaded/listed in a MUSIC MENU and ready at your finger tips to set the mood you want in your room or either courtyard. Our CD player can be heard on any FM radio on the property as well as driving by in the car within a 2 block radius. (On WGPA FM) at 102.9 on your FM dial, only good music all the time. Our two Courtyards with the Oversized in-ground Jacuzzi , courtyard Waterfalls & Lazy day hammocks are open and available to guests 24 hrs.a day/night and the music level provides a perfect atmosphere for conversation. The Crow's Nest ( The Stairway to Heaven ) is 2nd and 3rd level decks for walking in the trees, bird watching, stargazing, watching the space shuttle take off, and taking a smoke break. For Traveling Musicians and Music lovers; Jam sessions are encouraged for good quality fun. In our basement room is a 16 multi-track Professional Recording Studio (The Cosmic American Recording Studio ). Guitars (left and right handed), Piano and other instruments on site. Arriving at the entrance gate you will see a sign that says 'Mitakuye Oyasin', a Native American phrase which means 'We are all Related'. This spiritual consciousness allows us to see you as a relative and not just another traveling guest. Clientele are; Respectful, Tolerant, Business Professionals, Couples and Family's with children from all walks of life, as well as some Artists, Musicians, Singers, Songwriters, Actors, Painters, and Poets from all corners of the world. You'll find Gram's Place most comfortable and eclectic, with the laid-back feel of a faraway island and a European (and sometimes bohemian) attitude. Many guests ideas are now and will be a part of creating Gram's Place over the years and we encourage it. Each room has its own comment book for you to read past guests' comments and leave one for future guests. One guest wrote a comment that said 'Where time stands still and the music plays on' It is now a part of our sign in front of the property. If you are of the artistic personality (or not), you can enjoy the music of Jazz, Blues, Folk/Celtic, Country, Rock & Roll, Big Band, Reggae, Cajun/Zydeco, Latin, Classical, etc. including many box sets of the greats.
