'It’s OK to sleep in our church!!’ Knock the dust off your boots at Parson's Pillow Bed & Breakfast where comfort, elegance & the sense of coming home are yours to enjoy as our guest. Antiques and turn of the century lace surround you. Our 1902 former Methodist--Episcopal Church, Cody's first church building, has been caringly restored so that you might experience western homestyle hospitality. Linger in your individually designed room and be in a world of your own!! One evening in 1901, Mr. Beck, one of William F.Cody's closest friends who helped Buffalo Bill in the founding of Cody, was involved in a poker game. The pot grew to a whopping $500!! At that point, Mr. Beck and his opponent agreed that the winner would use the money to build Cody's first church building. Mr. Beck won and built an Episcopal Church. However, even in losing, the Methodist’s built their own church first at the corner of 14th and Beck Ave.
